This year I’m most excited about: Exploring Philly. I have lived in small cities for most of my adult life, excited about living in a large city!

Steven “Steve” Maceyko, MD

Hobbies/Interests: Going to the Jersey Shore in the summer, the Poconos in winter, and Happy Valley in the fall. Otherwise, I enjoy rock climbing, biking, skiing, hiking, golfing, tennis, and a good movie or television series to binge.

5 Year Plan: ER physician working in the Philly area making monthly mortgage payments on my own home, raising kid(s) with my wife Meghan, and balancing that fine line between work and life. Hopefully a much better cook and story-teller too.
This year I’m most excited about: …diving headfirst into everything Emergency Medicine. I want to learn as much as I can to set a good foundation for my career in EM. Also, looking forward to hanging out with all my co-residents!

Hobbies/Interests: I love hiking, camping, “reading and feeding” with my wife and infant daughter, writing (op-eds, letters to editors, short stories), DIY home projects, debating, traveling, and sitting with friends for cups of coffee
EM interests: Disaster medicine, EMS, addiction medicine, and global health
5 Year Plan: Become an excellent emergency physician for my patients, co-residents, and attendings and contribute to the field of emergency medicine. Maybe also write a book
